Some tips for making clean and precise knots in jewelry making? Beadalon Knotter Tool reviews? I just recently made beads. I really enjoy making necklaces and bracelets but I find it difficult to make a big knot carefully to the beads to prevent them from moving too much. I always seem to have a small space between the knot and beads. I saw a tool Beadalon Knotter and just wondering if anyone has used this? Are they worth the money because they are very expensive? Any other tips and tools, I could try? Thank you!
I bought the tool you are talking about and found it too fussy and abandoned. I bought a pair of tweezers with tips to the needle and use it the same way as the method described by Willeke needle. I'm still not quite to her, but I guess practice makes perfect .... in fact I do more packing and thread string style that connects the place that I'm better than ....
I tried to use the tool Knotter, I spent at least seven hours to try to understand, but can not.
I have asked for better instructions, but the company never got back to me. It would be helpful if the Society would give us Beadlon video instructions for this complex skill. Report Abuse
If you make a knot between pearls (also called thumbknot here's a link to an image: http://knopen.ismijnhobby.nl/tables/thum ...
You can insert a needle into the node before the close.
With the needle move to where it should go and then you close it. The needle just slips when the knot is tight, tighten the last piece.
And to get the node is the most you of pearls of the string through the knot, not to fill the remaining part. This also makes it easier.
