Cheap cold rolling? What do you recommend to wear to a race in cold weather?
Let's define cold ... I live in WI and now it's -8 outside. If you do not want to drop a ton of money on gear cold underarmour, Nike etc. Drif dress in layers and make you at least have a windproof outer layer. Thus, t-shirt, long sleeves, sweat shirt, windbreaker. Tights, shorts, windpants. Hat and gloves or mittens. And this time I want something for my face. You can get a rider breathing mask for about $ 8. Your face remains out of the gel.
A regular cup is fine. Use socks on the hands or gloves or mittens.
sweatpants with thermal underwear (long johns) are OK if you do not have skins runners - depending on the cold is cold where you are, some people wear long underwear under shorts.
A pair of sweats to work well, if it is very cold, and thermal underwear under the sweats.
You can buy cheap.
Wear gloves or cotton gloves or coverings of snow skiing glove.
Pulling on the cap or ski cap works well.
If you dress in layers, you can remove something if you are too hot during the race.
