Hey Kid was in the same boat that you were a few years ago (now I am in college) but I'd say, depending on your area I would ask to work as a cashier in a bank (was Great Works), floor associated with shop (shopping mall is still a place of work). As for specific places, I would say a list is:
Bank in your area (First Niagra, keys, TD North, etc.)
Walmart
Dick
Footlocker
Sears
Hannaford, Price Chopper, etc.

I know these places are not great and the pay will be bad enough (but the bank I made $ 10 an hour, but you're under a lot of control) but you have to work your way up If the totem you want to be at the top end
