Coogi is a fashion label known for its colorful knitwear. Founded in 1969 as Cuggi Toorak, Melbourne, Australia, the label was renamed in 1987 to its more like a native name in Australia

Although best known for his textured fabrics (including many sweaters Bill Cosby wore on The Cosby Show) in the 1980s, the brand has been popular in the United States that wear hip-hop urban clothing addition, the 1992 companys international registration of trademark registered brand of cosmetics and toiletries, leather, furniture, textiles and toys.

The brand was struggling after 11 September 2001, terrorist attacks, and was bought by a U.S. joint venture, coogi Partners LLC in 2002 by a group of investors led by Jimmy Khidr.

More recently, the company began licensing the brand to the industry of new products such as footwear, headgear, handbags, swimwear, eyewear and fragrances. They also opened several stores across the United States to showcase the entire breadth of their products [1].
