Cycling Shoe Covers

Cycling Shoe CoversDo anyone know of any cycling shoe covers are really waterproof?

I am looking for a pair of shoes at affordable cover, I need that are truly waterproof if I read a lot of comments saying that many "waterproof" boots that are resistant water, and does not protect longer than a few minutes under heavy rain. Does anyone have any experience with a decent price booties that keep feet warm and dry for more than two hours?

In cold weather, I use a plastic bag on my socks, my shoes inside. Looks ghetto but works like a champ. I do not like neoprene booties that much so I do not use them when it's REALLY cold.

When its raining just in summer, I do not worry. With my blood sweat, my shoes are soaked in a few hours, even if its not raining.

has not ever and never will, but the best brand that u can get the covers or a pro cover bontregar but otherwise it is impossible because I have looked everywhere and anywhere I meen I tried about seven different brands

It does not really do much, even if your overshoes are waterproof. The water will still penetrate your legs from the top, sprinkle your feet. The best you can expect in case of rain and the cold is to keep your feet warm. If your bike is a good set of fenders (wings), it will go a long way to reduce splashing and the road, keeping feet dry.

Addison Hi:

Most manufacturers will not list their Booties / slippers as waterproof as they should have a hole in the dock for the shoes. There are a ton of covers and booties here:

I only used PI Calien Toes "because I only need to drag.

Are you riding mountain bike, road, or platform pedals? This would make a difference. Platforms allow you to ride with a pair of regular Gore-Tex boots or trail shoes.

If you want something for mountain biking or road clipless pedals is truly waterproof, you will have to take a pair, and sprinkle with Camp Dry, Nikwax, or other waterproofing spray. You can also drag a plastic bag on your foot before putting on the booties.
.

No boots can keep your feet dry by themselves. Because they have not joined at the top around your leg or on the bottom against your shoe. The only real hope of keeping your feet dry is a combination of waterproof pants to extend over the top of the ankle, a material impervious to water in the shoe, and a plastic bag inside the shoe keep your sock dries the moisture coming into the bottom. The approach can keep your feet do get wet from rain, but are likely to cause them to collect moisture from perspiration.

In terms of keeping your feet warm, which has more to do with the vinaigrette together. Staying warm is a balancing act to maintain heart temperature at low humidity and warm against your skin. Keep hands and feet warm during cold weather is difficult because your body will automatically restrict the blood when body parts are cool. But for your body to push the blood in his hands and feet in cold weather, which means that your kernel has to be hot - hot overally, in fact - that your body begins to push the hot blood more to your extremities to cool off.

Again, there is a balance, because if your temperature is very warm heart, you'll also be sweating, which can finally relax together. So you need layers fuse to keep your skin dry. Without covers all details, you need a combination of layers to keep the body warm and dry and wind-protected. Use the zippers and vents to manage your temperature if you're not too hot, but are.
