Is it only high heeled shoes to be removed in an emergency landing? It is clearly stated in the instructions in the aviation security high heeled shoes must be removed in an emergency landing, but I've heard conflicting information about whether everyone must remove their shoes regardless of the fact that they have high heels or not.
I suppose in an emergency, the cabin crew did not have time to check people's shoes and it might be easier to make everyone remove their shoes.
Does it vary with the airlines?
The Airline Company I work for used to require that your shoes are removed at your seat before the evacuation in a "project" emergency. That's when you know there is a problem and you have some time to prepare.
If unforeseen emergency, such as when you are landing and something is wrong without previous indication of a mechanical problem, he was part of the evacuation orders flight attendants give passengers during the evacuation.
Part of the command was, "Remove shoes-take nothing with you."
In 1997, my company has eliminated the "remove your shoes" line of the evacuation order because they felt the impact they have, it does not slow down the evacuation and they also took into consideration the fact that skins of these blades are very difficult.
It was difficult to get people out of an airplane quickly with everyone stopping to remove their shoes, or they did not remove their head, they themselves were launched at the front door jump to the slide. It would be a fairly large pile of shoes Hush Puppies on a large wreath.
I am sure they also took into account the possibility of a foot injury on the tarmac with what could be more than 200 people around the outside walkng on a runway.
And to be honest, it's pretty rare that we see a lot of women traveling in high heels, no more.
I am unaware of the uniformity of the evacuation orders to other airlines. I think at one time he used to be fairly standard in the industry.
Theres no way Im taking my shoes of an accident.
Honestly, I've never heard of it. They will have to peel my shoes off my cold dead body!
All shoes, false teeth and lenses are supposed to be withdrawn in case of emergency on an airplane. They ask everyone to remove their shoes so that the parachute is not damaged.
High heels should be withdrawn because if the fall was activated escape landing, the heel of the punch and it would be, obviously, then deflate, possible trapping passengers. Perhaps the same could be said for shoes with buckles, etc., so I fat for the Elimination of all shoes - you can always put it in your hand, etc., then replaced when the field.
Remember, your mind sharp too!
I flew with First Choice last Friday, and security in their speeches they said heels should be removed if the slides were deployed inflatable I guess it makes sense, you do not want breaking a princess, do you? They also said that you must remove your glasses if you wear them. I guess for the same reason, if they fell and broke they had perforation of the slide.
The response said that high heels can damage the reserve is correct.
Only in high heels should be removed.
Also, remember that the rescue is a double life-RAFTIN success (!) Ditching so if it was punctured there would be more problems.
Yes only high heels, not only to prevent the extraction of the blade, but on reaching the bottom of the slide you need to get up and running too!
In addition to the blade is hard you break or sprain your cure before you can actually break!
No
In an emergency, you are prompted to remove high heels shoes becaue.
