Short FilmsIdeas for making short films

Ideas to shorts can come from everyday life, personal experiences or fantasies that you had.

To start just write your creative ideas. This could be a point to a complete script.

Some points to consider for short films are:

Having a concrete field:

Put yourself in the public and ask yourself, do you connect with the plot?

If the answer is no, chances are that your audience will not either.

For convenience, you need to consider budgetary constraints. Having a budget written in the form of an Excel spreadsheet or a software professional, you'll be able to allocate your funds efficiently.

Without planning the financial side, your film could be more budget and can not get over.

Getting consents discharge:

All actors, editors, music directors and other crew members, must sign a consent form for the film. Talk to a lawyer in the industry for advice.

Trying to get those signed after the shoot can be nearly impossible for them to sign before hand.

Cast actors who agree the role:

Casting is hard on the budget of small shorts you can be able to cover your friends or family who work for free, but have no skills in quality.

If you approach acting schools, you can find students who are willing to work only for the recognition.

You should at least have a good-looking brochure facts, advertise your plans to establish a certain interest.

If you can afford a professional actor, you have someone who can represent the character you plan with more precision.

Put money on sound:

Bad-quality sound effects is often even a good movie to watch short bad. Or beg, borrow or steal a microwave beam or a wireless microphone, and your movie will be more appreciated by the audience.

Set it now, rather than in post-production:

Most corrections on errors of fact in the stage of post-production does not seem very good and time consuming. If there was an error in recording, shooting, framing, etc. scene, ensure that you correct the error as soon as possible if possible.

Never zoom in a photo:

Zoom is a not a good idea for a short film, unless done by a professional photographer. Using the aircraft wing, a trolley or a reduction would be a better option to concentrate on a particular subject rather than zoom.

Know the stereotype? Movie:

Many oft-repeated cliche? The short films include the use of dream sequences, or waking from a dream acting alarmed.

Avoid outside shooting night:

Shooting outdoors at night requires the knowledge of good lighting to image quality. If you have no experience, try to avoid night shoots by rewriting the script.

If you are experienced, then go ahead, but spending money on good lighting and position your players so that they maximize the limited light. Cameras have difficulties in obtaining quality images in low light.
