Softball Shorts

I found that softball shorts look amazing with some basketball jerseys that I have .. Wondering what is the difference between the two kinds of short films, they are both made from the same material .. Or does it even matter, perhaps there is no difference, I do not play softball and I have no clue.

Softball shorts go about mid-thigh, where basketball shorts are knee length or slightly shorter.
I do not think there is a difference other than that.
Softball shorts work for just about all sports.
