Swing Clothes

My colleagues and make a night of swing dancing in a local place, but my boyfriend does not know what the proper clothing for swing dancing guys are, nor do I. What should he wear? Advice?

You'll want to wear what is comfortable to dance in. Do not wear a suit or a dress flashy zoot you will not be comfortable in.

There was a time when swing was back in the late 90s and everyone dressed vintage every night they went dancing, but that fashion has passed and are now the people what they want when they go out dancing.

I swing dance atleast 3 days a week, and I normally dance in jeans and a t-shirt. Here, watch this video of some professional dancers in a national competition. They cover everything that is comfortable to move in:

Occationally I will dress in vintage clothing for a special event, and when I do I'll go all out (do vintage hair, makeup etc.), and in these circumstances, I'll dress up in something like these outfits:

It's fun to dress in vintage clothing, but it is almost always ill at ease with fashion today, do not dwell on what you wear, just wear any what is comfortable, especially your shoes! If you will be on your feet all night, wear comfortable shoes (tennis shoes are fine).
